The new Enterprise Edition allows the user to share the workload of massive 3D databases creation between several computers and multi CPU’s simultaneously. With the new TerraBuilder Agents, every computer on the network stands-by for MPT creation, adding its computing power to the 3D terrain generation process. With new, industry standard, formats like ECW, IMG and NIMA’s CIB, CADRG and DTED, TerraBuilder can now directly import from an even larger number of imagery and elevation data sources. Revision of its internal mechanism and numerous user interface updates makes working with TerraBuilder and creating databases more efficient and intuitive.

TerraBuilder Enterprise edition is designed for users with intensive database creation needs. Incorporating all the existing features of TerraBuilder, like adding multiple sources of various formats and unlimited size and resolution, manipulating and combining them to a single compressed, optimized for streaming, 3D database, the Enterprise Edition operates as multiple copies of TerraBuilder collaborating in the database building process.

Multi-processor, Multi computer local network workload distribution using TerraBuilder Agents
The Agent is a TerraBuilder module that can reside on network-connected computers. When a terrain generation process is initiated, TerraBuilder looks for all the available Agents on the network and utilizes their computing power for the process.
Users of the TerraBuilder Enterprise edition can now cut down production time by an order magnitude. The Agents that are spread on across a number of computers on the network allows sharing of the workload for massive database creation.
The MPT creation process was completely reprogrammed to support the multi-user compression, resulting in a dramatic increase in efficiency. It is now much faster and more feasible to handle giga-bytes of source data and process them into a 3D database.
